ARDEX R 54 Sealer System is designed specifically for the ARDEX Surfaces line up of Toppings and polishable overlays it provides added protection from common stains and excessive wear. This durable system can be installed and open for light traffic in under 8 hours. It can be open to full traffic in 24 hours and reaches its final cure in just 72 hours.
Ardex R 54 SM is a performance Sealer for Stain & Wear Protection (Matte Top Coat).

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
