Shipping Policy

How your order is rated, shipped and — where we can offer it — collected, across Canada.

Stock Availability

We do not publish stock levels, and no product page on this site can tell you a floor is out of stock — the catalogue carries no inventory figures at all. What is listed is what our suppliers publish. We confirm availability with the supplying warehouse after your order is placed, and if anything is short or on back-order our customer service team will contact you with an estimated date; replenishment lead times average 1 to 4 weeks. Products a manufacturer has discontinued are the one exception: those are marked as no longer available and cannot be added to your cart.

Cost of Delivery

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout from the postal code you are shipping to. We rate the shipment live with our carriers on its real weight, cartons and destination, show you the prices that come back, and charge exactly the rate you select — nothing is added on top of it.

Free Flooring Samples — $9.95 Flat-Rate Delivery

Thank you for selecting our samples! You are one step closer to choosing the right colour tone for your home or project. Our automated system will notify you when we receive your order, dispatch your order, and provide tracking information for online tracking. Please note that our couriers do not ship to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers—only residential or business addresses during checkout.

Flooring Orders

Thank you for ordering from ShopFlooring.ca. Once we receive your order, our team will begin preparing the shipment for delivery or pickup and will send out order and dispatch confirmations. Your goods travel with the carrier you selected at checkout — a parcel courier for light orders, an LTL freight carrier for anything that moves on a pallet. You must be present on the day of delivery to receive any bulk flooring order: freight is delivered curbside and drivers require you to be there to assist with a hand unload.

Pickup from Our Warehouse

Pickup means collecting your order from our own Mississauga warehouse, and from nowhere else. It appears at checkout as a $0 option only when two things are both true: every item on the order ships out of that building, and your delivery postal code falls inside its collection area — the Greater Toronto Area, plus Hamilton and Burlington. Many orders leave direct from a supplier's distribution centre, which is what keeps the freight price down, and those cannot be collected. Where pickup is offered, a confirmation email tells you when the goods are ready, with collection instructions; collect during business hours.

Delivery Transit Times

Transit time is the carrier's, not ours. Every rate shown at checkout carries that carrier's own estimate for your lane, and that estimate is the one to plan around. We do not publish a separate table of promised days, because the answer depends on the carrier, on which warehouse your goods leave from and on where they are going — and no fixed table can be right about all three.

Regional and remote destinations take longer than metro ones, and a few sit outside a carrier's delivery area altogether. If no rate comes back for your postal code, email us your order and address and we will quote it by hand.

Local Truck Runs — Ask Us Before You Order

Our own delivery trucks are not something you can select at checkout; the checkout offers carrier rates and, where it applies, warehouse pickup. If you would like to ask whether we can run your order out ourselves, write to us with your order and address before you pay — our email address is at the foot of this page — and we will tell you what is possible. The regions below are the only ones a local run could reach at all.

Regions a local run could reach:

  • Toronto
  • Mississauga
  • Hamilton
  • Ottawa
  • London
  • Kitchener
  • Barrie

Depot Collection and Pallet Orders — Also by Request

Having a pallet delivered to a freight carrier's local depot for you to collect can cost less than delivery to your door, particularly in regional areas. It is not a choice offered at checkout either — there is no depot list to pick from — so email us your order and location before you pay and we will price it against the door-to-door rate. If we book it that way you receive tracking, and the carrier notifies you when the shipment reaches the depot. Any difference in freight cost is quoted, approved and paid before the goods move.
