The Liquid Vapor Barriers & Retardants from Bona — quiets footsteps and evens out the subfloor beneath your new floor.
A one-component, roll- moisture membrane. Bona R540 is a one-component, roll-on moisture membrane specially designed to mitigate vapor transmission on absorbent and non-absorbent subfloors, including Gypsum-based underlayments. The polyurethane reactive primer is compatible with the entire Bona Adhesive System.

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
