499-500 by Crain. The cotton grip head for our No. 499 and 500 Power Stretchers is recommended when stretching Berber carpets, loop pile carpets, and other low-level commercial carpets. The wire nap grips of this head are less likely to pull or snag loops or yarns that are easily damaged by the standard stretcher pin plate. Nap grips are replaceable. Net weight: 4 lbs.

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
