700-710 by Crain. This hardened, high-carbon steel blade for Crain stripper machines has two 6″ long sharpened edges. When one edge of the blade wears out, the other side is still usable, which doubles blade life. Its 5″ width produces a blade with some degree of flex that performs well on glued-down carpet removal jobs. A sharp edge is ground to a 30° bevel on both sides. Works on Crain No. 700 or No.

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
