The six foot Professional Straight Edge provides the accuracy needed for making seams in sheet vinyl and like materials. It is precision ground on each of its edges for straightness with accuracy of +/-.003". It establishes straightness along a first edge of a seam so that the other edge can be underscribed using the first edge as a guide.
This straight edge is also made of special spring steel that will return to its flat condition even after being bent. It has one end formed at a 45° angle for pattern work, and is painted blue to reduce rust.

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
