This staple remover has a lower, ultra-thin prying lip to gets under the staples, and a pivoting upper jaw that activates automatically with the prying action to hold the staple against the prying lip. This design is highly effective for removing staples, particularly pad staples. The large leverage handle is ergonomically contoured.

Installation — Nail / staple-down
- Acclimate solid wood 3–5 days to match your home's humidity.
- Install a vapor-barrier underlayment over a plywood subfloor.
- Blind-nail or staple each board through the tongue with a flooring nailer.
- Leave a 1/2" expansion gap at the walls and cover it with baseboard or quarter-round.
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
