These versatile Notched Trowels can be used to complete any and all types of tiling, from floors, walls, or a kitchen backsplash to the most intricate mosaic work. Each of our 11" x 4-1/2" Notched Trowels have an aluminum alloy mounting riveted to a hard tempered steel blade that is flexible yet durable.
MARSHALLTOWN offers four notch shape options: Square, U-Shape, V-Shape, or the deep U-notched Elliptical. You can also choose the best notch size and handle material to fit your needs. Choose between a soft grip DuraSoft, curved hardwood, or straight hardwood handle angled for either right or left-handed use. All variants of this notched trowel are Made in the USA with Global Materials.

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
