These diamond hole saws can be used dry, or wet for increased speed and longer life. Using a 5/8 -11 angle grinder with a minimum 11,000 rpm, holes from 3/4" to 2-3/4" (up to 2" deep) diameter can be made in porcelain, ceramic and granite. The FT-S Long Life Series has a 3/4" tall sector type diamond matrix for best cooling and that can be dressed for longer life.

Has two through body slots (straight for the 3/4" diameter and V-shaped above 3/4") for slug removal, and also wrench flats on the hub. The FT-S Long Life Series gives about 50% increased life compared to the FS Standard Series. Best results are obtained by starting in a circular motion at 45? to the tile and then continuing the circular motion with a reduced angle.

Drilling time and saw life depends on proper operator use, tile material and thickness, and saw cooling. With the No. ADPTR-AUFSIN Adapter, these Hole Saws can be used with a 3/8" drill (rotary only, no hammer action).
