The QEP Backing Pad is engineered to securely hold all polishing pads using a reliable hook-and-loop system, securing the polishing pad to the tool for a consistent, even finish. This semi-flexible backing pad features a 5/8"–11 threaded connection for direct attachment to grinders and electric polishers.
Designed for use with QEP Polishing Pads, it minimizes hand fatigue during polishing work without losing firmness on flat surfaces.

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
