ROBERTS extra wide 6" Heat-Bond Carpet Seaming Iron gives double the seaming capacity. Designed to distribute heat evenly, its 6" wide soleplate provides wider, better coverage for use with 6" seam tape. Ideal for bonding near walls and doorways, this seaming iron features a contoured handle that stays cool, an up-front thermostat that adjusts from 135°F to 425°F degrees, and a 3-way cord adjustment for convenience.

Installation — Stretch-in over pad
- Stretch-in is a job for a professional installer — we supply the materials, not the installation. Check the unit on this page before you measure: many broadloom rolls are priced by the square yard, which is 9 sq ft.
- Tackless strips are nailed around the perimeter and a cushion pad is laid first.
- The carpet is power-stretched onto the strips for a tight, wrinkle-free fit.
- Seams are heat-taped and trimmed cleanly at doorways and transitions.
Care & maintenance
