RUBI polishing pads are specially designed for wet work on surfaces of natural stone, especially granite, marble and cured concrete. Our polishing pads offer the construction professional excellent finishes on any flat surface and in bevelling either marble, granite, other natural stones or cured concrete.
The RUBI range of polishing pads for wet work consists of different grains: 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 and 3000. All identified and colour coded for quick and easy identification. 50 and 100 grain polishing pads are for initial work when a larger grain size is necessary and the maximum working speed should not exceed 4500 rpm.
The 200, 400 and 800 grain polishing pads are for medium buffing and their maximum speed is 4500 rpm. The 1500 and 3000 grain polishing pads are the finest and recommended for final polishing work. Their maximum operating speed should not exceed 4500 rpm. Finally, to complete the range of polishing pads, RUBI includes its BUFF pad, needed for final finishing in polishing work on natural stone and cured concrete.
The maximum operating speed of this pad is 4500 rpm. Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
