KERDI-DS is a waterproofing and vapour barrier membrane with very low vapour permeability, making it ideal for continuous use steam showers and similar applications.
Key features
- Waterproofing membrane and polyethylene vapour barrier in sheets
- Prevents water infiltration that can cause mold and mildew
- Composed of a central layer of high density polyethylene (HPDE) covered on both sides with non-woven polypropylene
- Covered on both sides with a non-woven felt that allows anchoring in the cement-glue
- Ideal for waterproofing wall and floor surfaces to be tiled
- KERDI-DS is 20 mils thick and contains additives, giving it a vapor permeability of 0.19 perm

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
