Using the Wood Doctor Kit, you will be able to quickly and easily touch-up and repair a wide range of imperfections and impairments to wood and plastic laminate, cabinets, trim and other surfaces. Kit contains: - Finish Planer: The stainless steel metal scraper is hollow ground on both edges for maximum sharpness and is an important part of the Wood Doctor repair process.
It is also used to remove dirt, overspray, drips and excess filler. - Hollow Ground Scraper: The finishing planer is used to bring the level of filler to the same height as the surrounding surface. - Two pieces of Scotch-Brite used to bring the repair to the finish of the surrounding area. - Hot Knife:The butane hot knife melts the thermo-plastic polymer color bars into the areas that are in need of repair.
Unlike soft wax repair systems, these durable polymer color bars have a high melting point which allow Wood Doctor and Ceramic/Vinyl Doctor to be used for permanent repairs in high-traffic areas and outdoor applications. - A wire holder is also provided for the butane hot knife “Always place the knife on its holder when not in use”.

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
