Mapelastic HPG is a ready-to-use, highly flexible, liquid acrylic waterproofing membrane for installation under ceramic tile or stone on residential and light commercial interior floors and walls. Applied with a roller, trowel or brush, Mapelastic HPG has excellent compatibility with cement-based mortars.
When installed with MAPEI’s Fiberglass Mesh, Mapelastic HPG can also be used as a crack-isolation membrane and exceeds ANSI A118.10 standards for waterproofing. In addition, Mapelastic HPG is IAPMO-listed for use as a shower-pan liner.

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
