(18.9 L) by Roberts. ROBERTS 2038 is a solvent-free latex-based asphalt emulsion adhesive developed for the installation of vinyl composition tile (VCT) flooring. This is a black thin spread with superior holding power that resists tile shifting. It can be used over existing black out adhesive residue.
Powered by Microban this antimicrobial product protection helps fight the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria that can cause product degradation. Made in Canada, it offers a 2-year shelf life from date of production when stored in original unopened container, and a lifetime warranty for installations performed by a Flooring Industry Association Certified Professional.

Installation — Glue-down
- Acclimate the material and make sure the subfloor is clean, dry and flat.
- Spread the recommended adhesive with the correct-notch trowel; work in small sections.
- Set each piece into the wet adhesive and roll the floor to ensure full transfer.
- Keep traffic off until the adhesive fully cures (check the adhesive label).
Care & maintenance
- Sweep or dry-mop regularly; damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Wipe spills promptly and use felt pads under furniture.
