Forbo MCS Real linoleum flooring in Mist Grey brings the natural substance of linseed oil, pine rosin, wood flour and jute. Part of Forbo's MCS Real collection, it's crafted to look as good in ten years as it does on day one.

Linoleum is a natural material, not a plastic one: linseed oil and pine rosin bound with wood flour and limestone, calendered onto a jute backing. The colour runs through the full thickness, so scuffs and traffic wear in as patina instead of wearing through a printed layer. Forbo finishes its Marmoleum lines with Topshield2, a factory-applied surface treatment: no initial polishing, and routine care is dry sweeping plus damp mopping. It is a hard-wearing commercial floor — schools, hospitals and offices are its home ground — but it is not a wet-area product. The jute backing is a natural fibre, so damp-mop rather than flood it, wipe up standing spills, and keep it out of rooms where water can pool or wick up through the subfloor.
